In-Person and Live Virtual Personal Training Packages

In-Person Personal Training

Outdoors in one of our beautiful parks or indoors at our incredible studio, every session is designed just for you. Our studio is very clean and modern with machines, free weights, suspension training, ropes, bands and anything else you can think of. We need a unique facility to accommodate our cross functional style of training. Our Intro to Personal Training 3 Session Package is the perfect way to get started with us. In our first session we assess your form, strength and goals. In the next two sessions we begin building a program that matches your abilities with your goals.

45 Minute Appointments

Our personal training appointments are always 45 minutes. We put you through an appropriately grueling session every time. Everyone’s time is valuable and a great workout doesn’t need an hour. We have refined our training technique to get everything out of your time with us that we can. For most clients an hour would be overkill. Based on all available science, 45 minutes is the perfect workout and is why we chose this time for each of our training packages.

Live Virtual Personal Training

We also offer live virtual personal training packages in 30 minute sessions. We find out what equipment you have access to and design each session for your space, ability, goals and available equipment. Virtual PT is great because you don’t have to rush off to a session and it can easily be conducted wherever you have an internet connection. Because overhead is less and the sessions are shorter, our live virtual personal training packages cost much less than the in-person alternative.

We have access to an incredibly modern and clean studio on Aero Drive, from a personal room to full gym, we have all the modern equipment and machines we need.

Functional Movement Assessment

In our first session we will go over a series of functional movements that will indicate how we need to start your program, which always begins with bringing your body into balance.

Program Design and Implementation

After assessing your form and getting to know your goals, we design a program that creates a roadmap to success that includes short term goal setting and frequent design changes.

Executing Your Program

During each session we make sure that your form is excellent and that you are training at an appropriate intensity for your abilities and to reach your short term goals.

We like to get you started with a small commitment of 3 personal training sessions for just $150. During these three sessions we get to know you and better understand how we will design your program. If you like our style and want to continue then we have packages of 4, 8, and 12 personal training sessions. We track your results over time and give you access to our Evolution Nutrition Self Serve nutrition portal. During our personal training sessions we can review your calorie intake and food choices as well as guide you to better eating habits for your goals.

Live 2-Way Interactive Virtual Personal Training is an excellent way to start utilizing a personal trainer, to stay consistent with your workouts or to fit into a busy schedule. Just because we aren’t in the room with you doesn’t mean you won’t get an incredibly great workout. We follow all the same programming rules as we do with in-person training except it’s less expensive and doesn’t rely on you rushing to an appointment. We can do it from your phone, tablet, laptop or computer. Try out our introductory special package of 3 virtual personal training sessions to get started.

Our Personal Training Style

We like to get the most out of each session. Our style is not to put you on a machine and count reps. We often use a technique called cross functional training. Traditional personal training involves a trainer tracking the weight you lift and spotting you during traditional exercises. At San Diego Core Fitness we take pride in being different and scientifically sound. After 22 years in the industry we have a long list of exercises inspired by yoga, pilates, physical therapy, barre, kettle bell training, and much more.

Multi-Planar, Multi-Joint

Many fitness professionals like to isolate muscles to burn them out and build them. We have found that if you combine muscle groups you not only burn more calories because more muscles are active but you increase athleticism and agility. The key to success is working out in numerous planes of movement as well as using multiple joints as axis points to engage as many muscles as possible in each exercise.
