Functional Movement Screening
The Screening Process: Core Elite Trainers, Physical Therapists, and Integrative Practitioners screen for pre-program risk factors to determine how you should start any exercises program. Whether you are an elite athlete, weekend warrior, or new to exercise at any stage in your life, we perform a Functional Movement Screening to measure imbalances and dysfunction in your body and then use the data as part of the schedule-of-training criteria. In all training environments, we have to keep our clients in the right anatomical balance to exponentially increase exercise intensity—the Functional Movement Screening is our best tool for predicting injury risk before a client gets sidelined. In our Outdoor Fit Lab, it is used to identify mobility and stability issues and it guides the transition to increased levels of training. When movements aren’t clean, it’s a red flag that gains our attention every time. The Functional Movement Screening  establishes a movement baseline. If our pre- training screening uncovers pain, you will be recommended to one of our Integrative Practiotioners, who will perform a clinical evaluation. The system allows pain or dysfunction to split the decision process into clinical evaluation,  bodywork assessment, acupuncture assessment, or simple corrective exercise based on the observed pattern dysfunction. The rehab specialist pinpoints the potential problem and clears it, thus reducing the risk of injury. There’s no question that the Functional Movement Screening is a serious biomarker of client program success.
Measuring and tracking your path to great health!
A Functional Movement Screen allows us to create a corrective exercise strategy for movement patterns that are dysfunctional and also allow exercises that are not compromised by pain or dysfunction.
