Integrated Functional Training
Integrated Functional training starts by understanding the kinesthetic movement throughout your body, how muscles and joints work together or against each other and have adapted to this unbalanced environment over time. At San Diego Core Fitness, we train the whole body in every plane of movement rather than isolating muscle groups. We start by addressing the core, which is likely not what you expect. Your core, also known as the lumbo-pelvic hip complex, is in part made up by the Multifidi/Erector Spinae (Spinal Erectors), Transverse Abdominus, Rectus Abdominus, External/Internal Obliques, Quadratus Lumborum (QL), Hamstrings, Latissimus Dorsi, as well as the Hip Flexors, quadricepts and groin. There's a reason why so many people think that the core is just your abs, that reason is because the former description is so absolutely confusing nobody actually wants to explain it. Well, let us take the confusion out of Integrated Functional Training and show you the path to a balanced, healthy and strong core.
Natural movement produces better muscular balance and joint stability!
